INFORMATION

The Federation provides a range of information and communication services.  The bulk of these services are directed towards members, with a view to ensuring that they are regularly and effectively informed of developments affecting their operations in the short and long terms, that they are able to effectively comply with regulatory requirements, and that they are aware of the activities that the Federation undertakes on their behalf.  The Federation also communicates extensively with government officials and decision makers in order to provide relevant information and expertise, provide input into the regulatory process, and establish relationships for future advocacy efforts.  And finally, the Federation engages in communications that are designed to increase public awareness of international shipping’s role in facilitating trade and of its environmental and economic advantages as a transportation mode.
