Certificate in Marine Transportation - Learn More

The Shipping Federation, in partnership with Concordia University’s Centre for Continuing Education, is offering a new cycle of the Certificate in Marine Transportation as of this September. The Certificate is a non-credit university level program made up of five marine courses covering key aspects of the commercial shipping industry. All five courses are available both on-site (in Montreal) and on-line (via the internet), as per the schedule below:

  • CESF 109: Introduction to Shipping (September to December, 2017) available on-site and on-line
  • CESF 209: Vessel Husbandry and Port Operations (September to December, 2017) available on-line only
  • CESF 309: Customs and Documentation (September to December, 2017) available on-line only
  • CESF 409: Commercial & Contractual Aspects of Shipping (September to December, 2017) available on-line only
  • CESF 509: Practical Chartering (September to December, 2017) available on-line only

The on-site course will be held in the Federation’s boardroom from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday evenings. The cost of each course is $450.00.
