The Federation recently submitted comments on Transport Canada's draft Ballast Water Regulations which would replace the existing regulations.
Our brief focuses on Canada's proposal to require exchange plus treatment for all voyages destined to Canadian freshwater ports and highlights the legal, operational and safety issues associated with the implementation of such requirement.
